Mix Nimko is the house standard at WD Foods: fine sev strands, soft ghatiya pieces, hard fried daals, peanuts and chana, seasoned together as one snack with salt, red chilli and the quiet tang of tatri. Every handful is a different combination, which is exactly why people keep reaching back into the bowl. It is the same mix our shop has sold under the Wahid Nimco name in Quetta since 1990, written as nimco on our packs and searched as nimko by most of Pakistan.
What is in the mix
There is no fixed recipe for mix nimko anywhere in the trade, so the maker's balance is what you are tasting. Ours is built so the crisp sev carries the seasoning, the daals give the bowl weight and the ghatiya adds soft pockets between the crunch. The heat sits in the middle: enough chilli to notice, not enough to chase anyone out of the bowl. Serving and freshness
This is the tea trolley default: a bowl of mix nimko with chai needs nothing else beside it. For guests, plan roughly 50 grams a person when other snacks are served, more if nimko is carrying the evening. Fresh nimko smells of clean oil and spice. Once opened, keep the pack sealed or tip it into an airtight jar away from stove steam, and it stays crisp for weeks.

What is the difference between mix nimko and special mix? Same rate, different balance. The special mix pushes the richer components and the seasoning further; this one is the balanced everyday bowl.
Is mix nimko very spicy? No. It is a medium heat mix made for mixed company, children included, though very small children should taste a milder line like ghatiya first.
