Magaz are pumpkin seeds with the shell removed: the flat green kernels, ready to eat with no cracking and no waste. At WD Foods, magaz costs Rs 1,300 for 500g and Rs 2,600 for 1kg.

Uses

Sprinkle magaz over salads, halwa and desserts, blend into chutneys, or eat a spoonful as a snack. In our cooking, magaz is a classic garnish that adds taste and a soft crunch. If you enjoy cracking shells yourself, our white beej is the same seed in its shell at a lower price.

Common Questions

What is the magaz price in Pakistan?

Rs 2,600 per kg at WD Foods for pumpkin seed magaz, sold in 500g and 1kg packs.

What is the difference between magaz and beej?

Beej is the pumpkin seed in its white shell, which you crack open. Magaz is the kernel inside, already shelled and ready to use, which is why it costs more per kg.
